Marius Bado Rock – Codarts Dance, Rotterdam

Originally from Belgium, young Marius joined one of the country’s only professional schools, the Royal Ballet School Antwerp. As a final year student, he came across the Hivernales de la Danse in Liège in 2023. During this ^{11th edition} of the prestigious Ballet Stars Gala, Marius stood out by presenting a solo choreographed especially for him by his friend Violette Wathelet, also a student at the KBA, entitled “L’eau et le rêve”.

Since taking part in the Hivernales, with his diploma in hand, Marius has continued to perfect his skills by attending numerous international courses and workshops, as well as joining Opera Ballet Vlaanderen for the 2023-2024 season as a trainee dancer.

Marius has collaborated on a number of choreographic projects, including Anouk van Dijk’s “Countertechnique”, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s “Rain”, Richard Siegal’s “Ballet Mécanique”, Jeroen Verbruggen’s “Die Sieben Todsünden” and Trisha Brown’s “Twelve Ton Rose”.

Looking for further training and education, Marius has now moved to the Netherlands, where he is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in dance at Rotterdam’s highly reputed University of the Arts, Codarts Dance.
